Starting today through May 15, 2023, U.S. neighbors can enter the annual #LoveYourNeighborhood photography contest by simply posting an image to Nextdoor with the hashtag #LoveYourNeighborhoodContest.
This easy-to-enter contest invites neighbors nationwide to share an image that captures the people, places, features, and - new this year - creatures that make neighborhoods from coast to coast special.
Last year’s competition inspired more than 24,000 entries globally. Here are the 2023 contest categories:
#NeighborhoodCreatures - Furry, feathered, four-legged, scaled, winged, and everything in between - capture the cutest members of the animal kingdom and your neighborhood.
#NeighborhoodsEverywhere - From vacations abroad to a trip back to your hometown for the holidays, submit your best shots of neighborhoods that have your heart, even if you don't live there year-round.
#NeighborhoodFans - Capture the energy and excitement of when neighbors come together, from a local sports event to a community performance.
#NeighborhoodFaves - Local businesses are the cornerstone of every neighborhood. From your favorite farmer's market to your daily coffee shop, shoutout to support your favorite local go-to's.
#NeighborhoodGems - One-of-a-kind murals, secret hiking paths, off-the-beaten-path parks. Show us the ‘only in my neighborhood’ local spots that make your neighborhood unique.
